General Description

1-chloro-2-(methylsulphonyl)-4-nitrobenzene, also known as Meosulfuron-methyl, is a chemical compound used as an herbicide for the control of broadleaf and grassy weeds in various crops. It is a member of the sulfonylurea family of herbicides and works by inhibiting the activity of acetolactate synthase, an enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of the branched-chain amino acids isoleucine, leucine, and valine.
